5 Main Factors That Cause Stress

Stress is a condition when human feels mentally or bodily pressure. Human being deals with stress almost every day. There are many factors that can cause stress to people. 5 main factors that can cause stress are;


1. INTERNAL

Internal factor comes from individual itself such as personality traits and physical illness. Illness such as flu can make people feel uncomfortable and stress. They can’t do their work efficiently and they may have problem to sleep. Other than that, personality traits such as perfectionism also can cause stress. A perfectionist always wants the best result, but then they worry too much. Study shows perfectionism can lead to stress and burnout at workplace.

2. PHYSICAL

Standing for too long, pre-menstrual syndrome and over exercise is example of physical factor that can cause stress. For example, doctors and nurses in operating room need to stand for a long hour until the operation is done. This factor can affect stress towards doctors and nurses and as result they could risk a patient’s life. Other example of physical factors is having pre-menstrual syndrome. Women would feel uneasy, pain, headache and cause them to be in stressful condition.
